    spacers/widetrack for valver

right here goes, how much does the williams wide track widen it by (heard it was 18mm per side??)

and am i right in thinking the rear track is the same on both willys and valvers and so doesnt need altering?

basically i want to buy some spacers, someone advised me to fit 4 to keep the balance but surely i only need 2 for the front as this would be similar to fitting the widetrack?? unless the rear is also wider on a williams?

and lastly, if the widetrack does alter it by 18mm per side i will be fine running 15mm spacers?

    cheers

its 17mm per side 34mm overall. yes 15mm will be fine.

but this will not be the same as wide tracking it. as the wide track has different shocks springs and antiroll bar as well as longer driveshaft which will all affect the way it drives/feels.

yeh i understand it wont be the same :( but ive spent too much money on other stuff so this has to suffer

i just wanted to make sure that i dont have to do anything with the rear if i widen the front

i heard the torsion bars might have been different on the williams i.e stiffness, but have never seen any evidence of it

If I had to have a valver instead of a willy the very first thing I would do before spending any other money on performance mods is widetrack it and make sure the brakes are upto scratch - anything before thats a waste of money for me.
