    Questions...

    Just a couple of questions..

1 - Fitted my new leather today (looks awesome), what is the wire for under the seats that plug in?

2 - Gonna put a phase 1 steering wheel onto tomorrow, not really looked into how to do it yet, do I need to take the casing off around the existing steering wheel to get it off?

3 - Will there be any issues with the fact that my current s/wheel has an airbag in it!? Is it ok to replace?

4 - The 19 leather rears will fit! The back part fits well at the moment just a bit out centrally (in the middle), not quite aligned, fits ok into the clips either side on the top. Bottom clips nowhere near tbh! The bench is the problem, I know a couple of you say it cant be done, but gonna start chopping away tomorrow so if anyone has any ideas fire em accross!?

    Cheers
    Leigh.

    2. if its airbag undo the screws in the rear and remove the airbag undo the nuts or bolt loose but leave it on a few threads and bang the steering wheel towards you.

    3. thin its fine. not sure about the airbag light though

    4. most people recover the original clio seats with the 19 leather on the rears

the airbag light is self contained within the wheels itself, so no issue there

    Cheers for replies, most helpful.

Ive got the new door on today but its a real twat to get lined up.

Basically the door wont meet flush with the rubbers against the body of the car at the to edge. ANY IDEAS WHY!?

The top locator on the door wouldnt line up properly with the ones on the body of the car, the 2 that are welded to the inner of the body of the car, so I had to get a piece of metal pipe and bend it up about 2/3mm for it to line up. This wouldnt affect it would it?

I have also tried the door pin in various positions which does help. If I have the pin as far inward as it goes the door fits a lot snugger but then the trim doesnt line up on the outer and the door tows in too much at the bottom!

Please help, Ive spent all bastard day farting round with this and its pissing me off now!

Me step dad reckons that the door might be slightly different with it being a different year and off a different press but surely not!
