coilovers, overatted? try em mate u'll love em, however for fast road use on a daily driver fair enough as its a tad harsh the ride on mine!

bluenose, nope dont have genuine widetrack, just run 2x 15mm spacers, one per side up front to give 30mm wider track opposed to williams which is 32mm iirc? either way its poor mans widetrack as i cant afford more coilovers just yet!

    williams is 34mm wider.

and coilovers were the best mod on mine before the turbo.

but i agree. some cheap coilovers are gash. but good quality coilovers rock. so much better than the standard kit. and adjustable for your driving style.

ive had adjustable dampers on my old mk1 and I though they were pretty good, but since getting my 172, its just in a different league, not just power but turn in and grip is just immence.
Im only saying coilovers arnt for me as i'll mostly be driving bumpy B roads, but hey never say never, I'll see how i get on with an original williams spec car, and if i want more then I'll invest in some decent suspension.

anyone got any drive shafts and ARB?

I just fitted AVO Coilovers to my hybrid (none widetrack) and don't find them too bad when set towards the softer end of the settings, certainly no where near as bad as my mates VR6 with Koni ajustables on. And the handeling is amazing! About 98% of my driving is on very bumpy supposedly A, but more like B roads in the Yorkshire Dales.

yep 100 for the pair. the way i see it is reno spend thousands on development and the clio williams is renound for it handling characteristics, so why mess with perfection... just yet.

mine were 45 each + vat + new top mount kits and thanks to winston for the 172 springs, not fitted yet though just assembled.

Still got one wishbone and poly arb bushes to fit and brakes all round to do also, jeez not much. Then she goes in for bodywork.

    Crap wheres the overtime
