yeah you would accelerate faster :P
but lose top end
i wouldnt be bothere about loosing the top speed as its not about how fast you can go, its how you get there.
would this acceleration be really noticeable or just a slight gain

recently put a 1.4 box in my mates valver. no noticeable effect in 1st & 2nd imo. 3rd felt slower..
Depends on the box number.
Theres one which has way better ratios...was fitted to 1.4 sports IIRC and some 1.2s.
JB1053 rings a bell but cant remember exactly.
can anybody clear this up for me please, really intrested in doing this if its to my advantage.

get JB1046 (clio 1.2).. ..it has 4.216 FD
