Chip, Cams, Headwork & Manifold....got asked how much extra power do you think that adds.. Nowt I said it makes 129bhp at the wheels. He said well in my experiance an increase of 15 bhp is normal on a n/a car....(not too far wrong I suppose I think)....he continues '' for a chip, 15-20 bhp for the headwork and another 20bhp for cams so you're car will be close to 200bhp! I nearly shat! When I said I only wished it had 200bhp...he started ''listen mate I've been insuring modified cars here for blah blah years I know my blah blah etc'' What a knobber! lol

Well Bri when I had a dd40 on my record I used Thames City, AFlux and Brentacre recently. Never had such a crazy quote as that I don't think...well actually when I insured my beast(lol) of a saxo vtr I paid £1800 pounds tpf&t....for a 8 month policy! Think you're gonna have to say hello to rip off premiums for a year or three!

martin mine is still registed as a 1.8 pal!
iv got it insured as a 2.0 but cheap insurance if needs be!
