Looks very tasty. :D More vids if you can! Sounds great!
very nice ......Hope u turned the engine over a few times before u started it propper?
yes plugs out and cranked till oil pressure light went out then plugs in and started it.
no limiter
Excuse my ignorance. But why do you need to do this?Originally Posted by northy

get the oil up to the head, and through all the oil galleries before the engine runs at idle (1000rpm) which causes friction and metal on metal ware for the first couple of seconds until the oil pressure is reachedOriginally Posted by Imperial_16v
Ah right, so is that just because it's such a high bhp engine? I take it "normal" cars don't need that doing.Originally Posted by cliolord
also if you fit new cams you should not let the engine idle but run it at 2000/2500rpm for the first twenty minutes. idling new cams can destroy the new cams.
also to check the oil light goes out at all. don,t want to start the engine and find you have no oil pressure.
Yes every car needs that doing when the engine has been apart or has had no oil in it (or the cyl head) for a long period of time. Its not just for high powered engines.
Thats why these adverts say "90% of you engines wear happens when your engine is cold" This is because all the oil is in the sump and it has thicker viscosity when cold!
