    Just think. Lose those aweful wheels for 15 inch ones and youll be even quicker.

    after lunch i was just sitting in the car with the engine running and noticed it idels quite funny sorta revs abit could this be anything??? and yes king i am looking at some origanal vts wheels £200 with tyres then powder coating them grey or black, if it is standard im laughing..... if its not im crying............ insurance is already £2500 with no mods

    the guy i brought it from never mentioned cams or pullys theres no recipt for engine work ect does have bigger breaks, what are the tell tell signs of cams???

    Yup sounds like cams, I have Kent cams in mine and idles like a bitch! BTW keep the wheels they look sweet IMO adds a bit of individuality

    it pulls ok to 5k then ****ing flies round to 7200k inbetween those revs it pull nice il be off to bluewater with me hoody tonight for some shopping and to see if i can find anything else to play with, if it doesnt have cams itd go some with them...... how would i find out for sure guys...

    My sister has a 106 GTi, which I use (more than she does actually....Williams reliability ) and it bloody flies too. Like you say Skipp, pretty strong up until about 5000, and then it really picks up.

    I've heard of a lot of near standard (exhaust/filter) GTis running 140bhp when they get them on the dyno, when they're only 120bhp standard.

    I have a particularly slow example, but I'm pretty sure her 106 would dump on my Williams.
