    k tec manifold problems ***HELP****

ok so i got a ktec manifold off a guy on ebay so i went about stripping the standard one out and replacing it with the new one so i got the new one in after about half an hour of messing about only to realise that the bottom bit that connects to the rest of exhaust sits at a diff angle to the standard one and the new manifold is longer than the standard one.
so after some messing about and welding a new section into the decat pipe i finally got it on but my problem now is that my 2 into 1 pipe sits at most an inch off the ground
anyone know why this is or how do i sort it pref without me cutting and welding the 2 into 1 pipe.

You just need to buy yourself a williams or 16v decat/cat depending on which car the manifolds designed for. its only the front flange on cat that is rotated through 45degs for a williams so as to marry up with a williams manifold. The exhaust end of 16v/willy cats is exactly the same.

Doesn't he need a different downpipe? Sounds like he's using a manifold designed for a williams with a 16v downpipe, or the other way around?

    KTEC manifold is downpipe too

As others have said, sounds like you've been sold a valver manifold for your Williams or vice-versa - just need an appropriate decat and it'll work ok :D

    Ah fair enough!

He could always get the flange cut off his current decat and have it turned around and welded on in the appropriate position it match up?

Would probably only cost a tenner.

Yeh thats exactly what i had done when i did my engine conversion - also had to have an inch cut out of it for some reason

    Worked fine though.

the manifold i bought is not the downpipe too. i have already cut and welded the decat to the right length and angle but the downpipe site about an inch off the ground so it needs shortened or something
