Running standard exhaust cam and high lift inlet?

Whats the deal with this idea? I have met a few people that have done this and they say it increases low down power? I can't quite get my head around this

Depends on the spec of the cams to start with really. Ive done it o Mi16's. Works out cheaper initialy, but its just a case of an intermediate starting point...you still get more gains with better profiles on both cams.
