    Gearbox removal with engine?

Do i Have to take the box out with the engine? Ive just got my locking wheel nuts off! (finally) and wondering if its easier to just take the box out with the engine and swap the box while its out the car?

Also, when looking into my new engines spark plug wells it looks a wee bit manky, whats the best way to clean this up?

    Thanks

as far as i know, you have to bring them out as a pair anyway, not enough room to swing the engine off the box and up i think

I have done it both ways and I would take the engine out next time. Getting the engine out was alot easier and didn't take as long.

Can be done seperate but it depends on how much hassle you want, also if theres anything needs doing to the engine id take both out as the work on the engine instantly becomes easier.
