    Clutch fork movement? how far???

    can some1 please measure how far their clutch fork moves when they press the clutch, its quite urgent , iv measured mine at 1 and 1/4 inches movement

    haynes states 17 to 20 mm

    mine is traveling double that! what does that mean???

    Sorry to hear about all the issues you're having patrick!

    Sounds like you need to whip the gearbox off and see whats what :(

    might mean the release bearing has collapsed or the fingers on the clutch plate have worn.

    i have checked and my clutch fork again and it is actually moving the correct distance but my clutch just wont disengage. i think my release bearing has popped through maybe which would explain the heavy vibration aswell

    remove the rubber cover on the arm and look whats going on but does sound like a knackered clutch cover.

    iirc you cant see much of anything when you remove the rubber cover, i tried to get a mirror in there once and all i could see was fork! I think box out would be best solution to have a proper look as it sounds like something is seriously a miss!

    no two ways about it.. its a box off job..no point poncing around looking for things..u cant see nothing!
