altenator

When I bought the car I fitted my sub and in a week the altenator packed up... Now Been fixed for 6 months or so and was driving home with music loud tonight and the battery light came on like it did before when it died last time.. Is my stereo the final nail in the coffin for these altenators? Its only a small sub and has been fine for ages, just wondered if the altenator is on it way out, would he strain push it over the edge?

My sub used to burn alternators out, hence why the sub has gone now, front door speakers are bassy enough now saw your car at the lake last night lynx, looking sweet on them turbines!
