my 16v labour of love and 172

hi all, new to williams clio but not clios in general. this is my valver that ive had for a few months now with the sole intention of making into a B road/track car and mostly for fun. Its a bit rough round the edges but has minimal rust apart from the mandatory rear arches. aparently has a 80k engine and the car is 100 and something, i forget.
Been browsing the site for a good few months, archive of info ;), the car will be hybrid'd eventualy but im in the destructive stage of the build at the moment:

    when i bought the car:

    stripping the car

sadly they arnt my seats :(

my shot blasted engine parts, cheers Danny_ACE1 ;)

thats as far as ive got, other parts to be shot blasted are the subframe and engine mounts.... any any other parts i can find. then going to get them polished up.

and heres a cheeky pic of my standard 172

    nathan.

    more progress.

head and exhaust manifold off and stripping the block, but i took the cam belt off to soon and now cant remove the oil pump pully. nice and black pistons and head....ummmm. bores are in good condition as is the cam lobes and tappets. Took the head off in the wrong sequence too, by going inside out, instead of ouside in if you know what i mean. will have to check the head when i can find my feeler guages and a strait edge. cracked the sump by accident too. Need to slow down as i just get to enthusiastic and break/do stuff wrong, but all good fun:

    And Naths Autos ;)
