any benefits in just getting vernier pulleys ?

i read in a previous post , cant remember who , but someone of wc went to get there williams remapped at chipwizard, and it was recommended that chipwizard could of timed the map better if the car was on vernier pulleys.

    is it worth doing?

Dont they help with gains tho by allowing your cams to be adjusted properly?

They may help a little, but OEM wont be too far out, else Renault could set them different in the factory and say the car has more power for free..

£200 for pullys for not much gain...

£750 for a hell of a lot more ... i think thats whats being pointed out in this thread

Was me. Wayne suggested with my car that a set of verniers would allow us to advance the inlet. Reckoned it would free up a bit more power and was something to think about.

Can i quickly ask, are the std jobbies expensive to replace?

I have a nice grating scratching sound coming from one of mine (doesn't sound healthy at all). So I think I'll need to get them replaced. Just wondered.

    Cheers.

Thing is though, I won't know if I need them till I find out for sure. She's going in the garage again for some engine work so will get the bloke to have a look/listen and see what he thinks it might be.

But what are your's? Just the std ones?

    Cheers.
