some people have nothing else better to do, ask them to prove it, if they want to make a big deal of it they need to tell u who their witness is, call their bluff they will back down sharpish. W**K*RS

The annoying thing is, no one has even said anything to us, we've just got a letter from the coucil as a complaint has been made. Basically stating that we are using our home as a base to fix cars, pmsl - and our home does not have planning permission for such and only as a dwelling etc.

Its pist us of royally, so we've decided enough is enough. If we move it and keep it elsewhere, nothing will ever get done with it, so there is little point anymore.
Your allowed to work on your car! Just not in the street. Also they would have to prove that you are taking cash/payment for fixing other peoples cars (trading basically).

I thought you worked in law or something? I would go seek advice from citizens advice or summat! Seems a bit harsh to have to break the car
I know that , and we cant be done for it. We just dont want the hassle or the bad feeling with any of the neighbours, we havent been here long and already this. We dont know if they have been takin registrations of cars that have been on our drive, a few members from here have had work done at our house. If we contniue to annoy them it will result ina number of complaints and its just not worth the hassle. Plus we will have another car coming soon anyway, once we have 4 cars here, it will be never ending complaints.
