sounds like its fine mate if it stalls at full throttle with foot brake on and clutch out. You can tell before they completely fail unless they explode or breakup. Go up a nice steep hill and plant it. If the engine revs increase but the vehicle speedo stays the same or slows down, the clutch is slipping. In general the clio's do have a high bite normally anyway from my experience. I wouldnt worry tbh unless your totally off the clutch pedal before anything happens

    mine went like this.

2.5k plant it in third. slight delay in power coming through.

eventually (noticed it when wet). the revs went up as if it were in neutral. had to stop heavy acceleration.

    clutch went at 93k iirc.

If it doesn't slip on hard acceleration, it should be OK. On any other car, a low bite point can be a bad clutch but for the clio, it fairly normal (especially after a cable replacement), just make sure the routing is OK.

Having had a lot of experience with clutch cables it seems to me as though yours is maybe routed wrong if the biting point is right near the floor.

Thats also providing its not the clutch thats worn.

Ive always found that if your on take off as soon as you lift the clutch off the cable is routed wrong.
