    Time to spend some money

Right i have approx £450 quid to spend on Wilma, i want to renew all the discs/pads & bearings, all new shocks, wishbones, top mounts and track rod ends, my question is do i source the whole lot from Renault or goto say GSF for the brakes, i want good quality as ive used p*ss poor rear pads in the past and have suffered for it. Will i get all this for £450 i dont want high performance stuff as i dont drive the car in such a way as to warrant it i just want to regain the standard feel as Devon country roads have played havoc with it.

Any Reno or GSF part numbers for the above greatfully received.

    Cheers. Graham.

I believe you can get some Bilstein dampers (without springs) for pretty cheap. They are rated as OEM firmness.

    Gsf:
Discs, Pads, Bearings, Top mounts, Top Mount Bearings,
    Wishbones, Brake fluid.

    Renault:
    Arb Rubbers, Trackrod ends, Shocks

    Secondhand:
172 Springs (Unless your rich, then new from Renault)

some ultra low mileage 172 springs would be good, gonna go reno for top mount kits as they have the top underbonnet nuts too

after changing the control arms on 0171 i would definatly recomend doing these aswell.

They are so stiff to the worn original ones.

the track rods you mean northy?

Yeah well worth it in a lot of cases now. Also the rack rubbers to as they get soggy and allow the rack to move.

Just bought 2 front shocks 50ish quid, 2 top mount kits 31 quid, 1 dog bone mount 25 quid ish and an expansion tank from reno, £202 inc vat.

From gsf i bought 4 brembo discs and rear wheel bearings for £130 and have 2 wishbones on order.

Next off to reno for track rod ends and anti-roll bar bushes, rear shocks from reno were 49 + vat each so they are gonna have to wait a bit.

Oh still got get some pads thinking of ferodo or something like that ds2000 perhaps, not worried about getting 2500s

Is that 31 quid a side for top mount kits?
