Going in today. Sure it will fail on something small and minor. Although place usually passes it on emmissions with the decat.
At least I've got a long weekend to put anything right.

hmmm you've left the de-cat on
Thats Quiet suprising, and if it passes i will be more shocked. but good luck matey
My local MoT station dont run on emmissions test on cars with non- standard engines fitted (ie my mates VR6 ibiza, and numerous mates 2.0 16v corsas/novas) so none of them ever remove dectas etc.
Hopefully will be the same for my hybrid when it goes in, but i dunno due to clios coming with 2.0s!??
My old valver passed its emissions with my de-cat and magnex exhaust system.Originally Posted by Joel
Was the same for my Hybrid - they gave it a 'universal' emissions test, usually done for kit cars and the like. It needed 3.5% to pass on that test compared to the 0.5% of a standard test! Needless to say it passed with the decat on :DOriginally Posted by Fusionrs
What you really want is a nice J-reg clio which never had to meet the lower emissions in the first place ;).
or just say the engine is from a J reg
Mines on an m plate and they didnt even have to do a cat test, tested the emissions but thats not a very strict test, it said on his chart that all cars were given two years grace after the law came in because of certain manufacturers dragging their heels. i.e. Rover with the metro etc. Because mines within those two years it didnt need it
Yours is a 96 though isnt it?
