What are peoples opinions of these? A mate has just told me he has bought one (not sure what reg but it's an older one) and I just wondered how it would compare to a williams/hybrid? I'm going to have a look later on tonight, but just thought I would see what opinions people have of them.

I have to admit they really aren't my cup of tea from what I've seen of them in the past tbh.

Its a mk3 golf with a different body they're ok but a valver or williams will kill one.

And, oddly enough, so is the Polo 3!

Anyway, they're pretty sturdy things with decent engines but a pretty uninspiring chassis.

my mate got one and its seriously crap up against my valver. the acceleration aint half as good. not sure about top end though

Depends on if its the 8v or 16v, 8v pants, 16v not too bad
