driving my clio 1.816v today and the fuel line has rubbed on the auxiliary belt does anyone know why this has happened.

i think there should be a small plastic clip holding it in place above
its very close to the belt
the clip is there, would it be ok to re route it
i dont see no reason why u cant reroute it
You can re-route, a few people have done on here.
I've just done mine with some spanking braided hoses.

I've had to move mine as the plastic thing started rubbing on the belt.
I've taken that off and routed them over the top of the engine for the time being. You should be able to do the same as a temporary measure.
I need to get some longer fuel lines though and route them properly!
I did a 2Live and re-routed mine after one rubbed away. One goes up behind the exhaust heatshield and in by the accelerator cable, the other comes up behind the brake master cylinder and then up the wing behind the PAS reservoir before heading across.
Make sure, if you do this, that you rag the plastic routing guide out that sits above the belts. Mine was loose and had one all the way through at one end!
