Budget will be around 2-3 grand am hoping so what am i best pluggin for in terms of reliability and comfort?

buy a ford fiesta diesel 1997-2000. bout 1000 save the £ for your proper motor. mine costs £5 a week on fuel and never goes wrong it likes some bio fuel too {anythin} mix or not

Ford and Vauxhall diesels are dog turd. Best bet would be 306/Xsara hdi as they're modern-ish, not too heavy and also handle.
Iv a 306 hdi d-turbo to take me to work, gr8 car 50mpg and chiped 120bhp
96-on passat for me my dad had one and it was brilliant. The 110s are pretty quick and when we chipped his it was lots faster. They're comfy as ****, mint stereo, 55mpg on the motorway.

Im just about to start looking for a TDI passat like that for my taxi. Great cars for the money tbh! + Some fairly cool styling options! (****ing white stripes i gotta have screw it up though)!
Also looking at under bonnet pictures, are passats rwd?
