    ****ed the car up!

Just comeing off the slip road on to the dual carriage way, going about 50mph and BANG!!

Then clunk clunk clunk... it felt like somebody just threw an anchor out of the window!
I pulled over put handbrake on that went straight up in the air, so i stuck the hazards on and got out of the car only to find this....

I rang the AA was on hold for 11minutes and they then said they would be 1 hour an 15mins WTF! i am stranded on a dualcarriage way with cars going past at silly speeds, so anyway rang the father who came down we jacked the car up and stripped the caliper down... just got the wheel back on and the police turned up!

They asked what had gone off, and kindly escorted us home while going 5mph down the A38,finally got home and the car in our garage to look how much damage had been done, and its a fair bit...

Snapped disc, no pads, bent caliper, bolts sheared off in rear axle, brake line fooked, and so is the handbrake cable... so all in all a good night :(

    Mega pissed off!

So if anybody has a rear caliper and any of the other bits i need let me know

From looking at it i seem to have lost my brake pads somehow?
So then the caliper then closed grabbing my disc, which then ripped the caliper off the mounting bracket shearing all the bolts and getting mangled around the disc which then snapped it!

Have you changed the pads recently and not put the retaining sliders in correctly, or left the little pins that hold em in off?

Changed all the discs and pads last summer, havent had any trouble since then...

Unless the pins have dropped out?

Yeh definatly, it could of been alot worse if i was giving it some!

Today ive got a new set of discs, bearings, pads, and the caliper mounting bracket (although its a bosch replacement item it looks alot smaller than the orignal???)

But i still the caliper its self, anybody got 1? :D
