High idle after gunning it

Can't remember what causes this, can anone enlighten me?

Basically no trouble at all unless you take it right up to the limiter and then it'llidle at 1500rpm. You can turn i off and re-start and it's fine though.

earth on top end of speedo cable behind clocks, chop the black wire and re-earth it
