I read in PPC that using a clutch from a diesel model of whatever car you own is a good cheap upgrade because diesel clutches have to be more robust than their petrol counterparts. Would this apply to Clios too?

don't know, the "uprated" clutches for our cars come from the volvo 440 turbo.
