cup lower than sport?

Does anyone know if the 172 cup is lower [standard] than the 172 sport?

I need to lower the 172 and have found some cup springs going for sale so need to know if it is lower and by how much??

same size spring just greater lb's, the spring has less coils in it and actually 2mm shorter but your not going to notice that.
