i guess being new here i dont understand the rivalry between you guys, for me both sites are a way of gaining knowledge of a vehicle im still learning about, all i can say is keep up the good work

katbloke..............the knowledge on cs is mainly about the 172/182.......the real enthusiasts of the ph1 and 2 clios are on here.......

theres none of this.gimme 5 grand an il make ur car slower specialists on here either...quite a few on cs lol........funny how all companies like that have a 3 letter (initial) name of company innit lol


the rivalry is nothing tbh mate...they just pissed with us cos we let the users on here speak their mind, the mods on here dont ban/delete threads they dont like the sound of, unlike cs

and this site is seeming to pick up a little bit too now....whereas cs is goin downhill rapidly.has been since the new nazi owners took over.........u vill not ....this is the new club motto for cs i believe

I like the feel of this forum now its being used a bit more. Certainly feels a better place to be. Don't get me wrong Cliosport is a good club which I still look in on, I just won't post anything.

The problem with cliosport is the amount of totally pointless threads. Look in and see how technical it is now. Not very is the answer. Us older members with the knowledge have slowly left taking years of experience with us. Leaving the young and impressionable to be ripped off by the companys 2 live was refering too. Easily done if you don't know any better and theres no one round to tell you else wise.

The new owners seem to be ruining the club IMHO. Shame really because Jas built a fantastic site. Jas always wanted everyone involved not just paying members, which is all SpecialK seems especially interested in. She also seems totally unreceptive to the suggestions of members and is very sarcy in her ways. This will cost them dear I feel.

Jas always distanced the club from Max Power, now IMHO its a online version of it and lots of other forums see it the same way. Tis a shame, and I genuinely mean that.

couldnt agree more mate......the few people that were willing to pick their spanners up n have a go themselves all seem to have gone now.....bar the odd one or two...


and like u say, i think weve all been ripped off thinkin the companies experience is better than our limited knowledge...lol


MiniSport told me years ago that this isnt alsways the case lol......i had put a 1275 head on a 1000 block with an 850 gearbox, runnin twin 1 1/2 SUs and 10" rims...0-90 was unbelievably quick..but 90 was flat out lol....minisport said the head wouldnt fit.i even went to the showroom, took the rocker cover off n showed em all the castin no.s.........still they were adamant it wouldnt fit lol.......fukkin muppets

Dont think there needs to be any rivalry between the two sites, theres plenty of room for both. I personally enjoy both clubs although now this site is expanding this seems like the most logical place to be after all I do have a Willy lol. However, if I still had my 172 cup then it would be the other way around.

I totally agree that the sight seems to have gone down hill and iv only been a member since march!!!

When i first joined i enjoyed goin on there and reading the racing tales aswell as reading up on my fav and only clios to have, the MK1 VALVER/WILLIAMS!!!

Now so much as talk about doin 71 in a 70 or car comparisons on there itl be banned and there seems to be a real lot of goodie goodie mk2 owners that dont do any wrong on there.

There doesnt seem to be a whole lot thats actually intresting on cs anymore!!! :(
