    Manual steering conversion

right after having a drive of martins tb'ed car on sunday at pod, i noticed i need more power :D but apart from that i also need the manual steering conversion. from the drive i had of it seemed to feel so sturdy and give very good feedback, reminded me alot of my uno turbo ( they don't come with ps but weigh as much as a biscuit tin so steering is light ) found martins car easy to manoeuvre around aswell. so what parts are need to change a widetrack to manual steering?

    ive just done this,

you need the rack, column and possibly the track rods as ones on manual racks wind on rather than in

This is a very worth while mod if you can handle manual steering

The manual rack is not as quick tho ...on the down side more lock is required for my favourate corners....on the plus side you get a much better turning circle

I have just done this on the illiams and it revs much better and pulls better in all gears esp 3rd 4th and 5th

Before fitting it I thought it was a slow Williams ....with the P/S removed it feels more like my old black beast ....I also think thats why that was quick ...along with heavy stripping :P
