On an RSI you only need to shift the engine over as far as possible, supporting it underneath also removing airbox and pipe.
Not an engine out job.
Get the clutch from reno and it also comes with the allign tool, staandard is fine for 80000 odd miles.
****, I only charge £250 all in inc parts!Originally Posted by john_petchey

Does the R5 uprated clutch fit an RSi then, i should i just go for a bog standard renault one?
Mr Clutch charged me £380 for mine when it exploded. Would have been £350 but it took out the knock sensor..
I need it doing quickly, as I was set to go to Cornwall 4 days later.. they did it in 3, so was OK!
wouldn't waste the money on a uprated clutch pal, unless you've got/planning a turbo for it, the rsi wont produce enough power to justify getting one
and if your running a proper turbo the clutch is about 450 quid
My Valver is fitted with the Group N Spec Uprated Clutch from K-Tec. It's fantastic. The car has also had the soft pedal conversion done which helps loads, but the clutch is solid. Pulls easily in every gear and doesn't feel stiff at all. (although the conversion might of helped with this).Originally Posted by Gray
Regardless, I've had no problems, so that would be my recommendation to you.
Whats a soft pedal conversion, and where do you get it?
