If the plate is a problem can't this be welded up?

I bought a set online of these and fitted yesterday... went on great, only slight stumbling block was the piston stuck onside the coilover!!! Couldnt loosen it no matter how hard I pulled, managed it on the end though thanks to Winston :D
Everything else has fitted perfectly!!
Sam
what did u pay in end, get them direct? What poundage springs did you go for
right, contacted them the other day, the kind people at avo said its 370 a set posted :D
Very interested in these
What's included? Just the front coilovers, or do you get rear shocks too?
Also, how low do these go? I currently have around a 60mm drop on my valver which is about as low as it'll go on springs. Ideally i'd like to drop it more, will these coilovers let me achieve that?
My friends 106 GTi has coilovers on the front and they are rock solid and feel great. The handling of the car feels fantastic, but my valver on spax shocks feels very sloppy and wallowy. How stiff will these be?
Cheers for any advice.
I think you might be a year too late!
Mat.
you get two front coilovers and two adjustable rear dampers, they go LOW lower than widetrack will allow, so don't worry about height! good purchase imo, but i've only ran mine for road use as i'vee heard of these leaking, but i've not encountered this yet
They were running it as an ongoing discount to WilliamsClio members I think, so give them a ring as you may not be too late, although I think prices have gone up slightly since.
What you will get is this:
Both the rears and the fronts. Both are adjustable from very hard to reasonably soft. The spring platforms are adjustable so you can take the front down as low as you want.
I too have heard issues with them leaking, but their warranty seems to be pretty good in that regard and having done a lot of research before buying them they seemed to be held in high regard for the handling they deliver.
How have those that have been running them found them?
Handle well? have they leaked or had problems?
The car will only be used occasionally, weekends or evenings for a quick blast, and the occasional trackday.
Cheers
Leaked 4 times in 8 months. They are nice though as they are adjustable and can be set to your preference easily, whether at a track or commuting.Originally Posted by cliokiz
When they've leaked I've had very fast service though and no quibbles.
