on way back from swansea today and this car came past me on m42 south of birmingham
really freaky as i'd actually seen it for sale on cliosport earlier when i was looking at buying one
recognised plate straight away
i was in 106 so thought it a perfect chance to see how quick they are as i didnt rate the one i drove at all!
anyway there was barely anything in it at all from rolling 60mph +
and the guy was trying cause i was pissing him off at first sitting on his bumper and he dropped a gear and floored it a few times.
i'd say it was slightly quicker and i mean very slightly... im starting to think ive got one of these "quicker" 106 gti's because 172 cups are meant to be 3 secs quicker 0-100 but theres no way on earth ive seen ANY evidence to back that up

lol it was just before he turned off the m42 before solihull
he was driving very erractically weaving in and out of traffic and i dont know the area and all i could see was signs for variable speed camera's but he was regularly doing over 100mph
there was also a new shape MR2 buzzing about up his arse ass well which had a fit bird in passenger seat... i'd mention that to him to refresh his memory as i was always behind him in a black 106 gti R reg

Lol. I mentioned it to his brother last night and he phoned him but he denied all knowledge of a 106. Probably a little embarassed! I'll mention the MR2 tonight then and see what he says!
