    Black smoke through air vents with Stuttering Acceleration

    got me work car :D Ford ESCORT baby

    went to asda today and it stuttered when trying to come out of the car park and a puff of black smoke came through the air vents, bloody stank. Its petrol not diesel

    Does anyone know what this can be?? It drove ok after this

    any noise to accompany it?

    from experience solenoid on starter motor stuck on, smoke poured through vents.

    no the engine is sound as a pound... never happened before!

    The smoke was like just one big puff, then the car drove normally. Never experiancd that before
