Yes always put new tyres on the back.

Mark runs 195's on the front and 185's on the rears. But no sure about the other way round.

Personally id just get two new 185 55 15 micheling pilot exalto 2's for the back and bring the the tyre forwards.

What you got on at the moment, becuase you dont want to be having vastly differnet tyres front and back.

If you dont want to pay 100 each for 185's then go 195's but get them all round.

    Goodyear GSD3's!

I would go for the Goodyear Eagles my self. Absolute bargain price and one of the very best all round tyres you can buy.

However, I would disagree with Stromba in putting the best tyres on the rear. I always put the best tyres on the front end and am never too bothered about whats on the rear. The Clio lives and dies by its front end grip IMO.

What size does the Williams have from new?

185/55/15. Most people tend to just fit 195/50/15's though as they are cheaper and a better range of decent tyres available. They are obviously also slightly lower profile and wider.

mark.. what are you running front and back, and at what psi?
to you mess with tyre pressure for the track ?

For road use and wet weather I run Eagle 195/50/15's all round with 32psi in the front and 26psi in the rear. If its particularly wet I may drop them down 2psi all round.

For dry tarmac I run 195/50/15 Yoko AO48's up front with 34psi and 185/55/15 Colway semi-slicks on the rear with 24psi.

Will probably be trying the new Toyo 888R's next time for the front as the Yoko's are a little too soft and tend to break up on track.

Can't believe how cheap the tyres are on that mytyres web site. Just found some tyres on there for my R19 for £88.90, even the Pirelli's i run at the moment are on there for just over £140, how comes they can do them so cheap?

Now i can get some cheaper tyres for my 19 and splash out on some proper driving tyres for the Williams......... see what it's like to drive when you can get traction :D
