gear linkage rod

would the gear linkage rod cause the gearstick to move, as you may have read in my previous post its jerking when put foot on gas and let off.

i jacked the car up tonight and had a look and the gearlinkage rod shakes and rattles around with little force should it do this ?

Yes, it will be your dog bone mount.

Yes it shoudl do that, will be your dog bone mount, mine has a bit of movement and my mount is new, but the other two mounts are ****ed

the engien will always move a bit. its not ever goign to sit still. its not like other cars with cables or the pugs that got through a variety of linkages, its a direct link.

Unless you bolt the engine solidy to the shell its going to move.
