Mirrors not working

My valver had (at purchase) two mirrors which had both been smacked off and consequently glues/bandaged/taped to the car.

I have just fitted two mirrors to the car however, these still do not see to work.

I was thinking it could be the actual round joystick switch which controls the mirrors themselves.

Anyone experienced similar problems?
any suggestions on what the problem could be?

Yeah check the connections under the mirror joystick but also check the main wiring connectors that run from body to the doors,sometimes they are loose
