Does anyone know if you can get done if you are flashed as you are approaching the camera? i.e. not on the side of the road where the markings are for measuring distance etc?

has happened to me a few times and nothin was done, apparently its illegal to take a foto of someone in a car, throug a window or fence etc. Invasion of privicy iirc
not sposed to flash u as it can dazzle u, so they cant get ure speed anyway.
Im talking about a fixed speed camera, not a perv in the hedge with a camera.Originally Posted by rob16v

nah, don't worry about it, they have no way to measure your speed as there would be no markings on the floor.
No. If it flashes and you know you were the only one on the road at the time it means it has no film in it.
static gatsos can measure forward facing.............its not type approved in London anyway.
The markings on the floor mearly back up the camera data, Met Police have used and prosecuted people without marks.
Rob in London they use a lazer type camera and take pictures daily of people speeding in there cars.
I could bore you senseless with data and facts but lets just say if the flash is not infra red chances are its, dummy equipment merely there as a deterant(sp)
So in a nutshell you wont be done, but be careful this time of year as SPEED on the road kills, go to the track and get it out of your system.
