    Stroke is longer and bore is 0.7mm bigger.

    I was under the understanding that the F7R had valve guides and the F7P didnt, not that the valves were bigger


    valves are bigger on willy , head differs slightly both engines have V.guides

    fpmsl @ some of these replies.

    16V doesn't have valve guides good one, lol

    Bottom end has different stroke, bore and block casting.

    To make the 2l rods clear the block on a 1.8 you need to grind the block and depending on the casting sometimes make a big hole sothe crank can turn in the block.

    Thats why the williy stater is the same size as the 1.2/1.4 starters as the fat 1.8 doesn't easily clerr the ribs.
