Save money and buy my carOriginally Posted by cliolord
If I was to buy a williams mate, it would have to be standard and I wouldn't take it on the track as the williams is the daddy and I would definitly cry if I hit it. I have 2 other mates who I will be on the track;
-Escort RST at 200bhp of useful power
-Peugeot 205 Gti 1.9 although he is in the thinking process of the Mi16
Obviously the engine is just a small part of making a brutal track car and it's near impossible to make a track car a comfortable road car. It will be slightly lowered on some decent front shocks and springs (not sure if I will be going for coil overs yet). I am also looking for bigger brakes and i'm trying to find another renault with bigger breaks to fit to the clio....Anyone used the V6 Laguna brakes on a clio or anything like that? The servo's are pretty good from my experience on these valvers so I don't think a new servo and master cylinder will be in order
As regards brakes, the stock set-up with Brembo Max discs and Ferrodo DS2500 pads gets my vote...i would suggest you try that before you try to change calipers etc.
Im currently building an Mi16 lump for a 205...using R1 carbs :D
my mate has just put GTi-6 front brakes on his 205 (callipers, discs, pads etc). Picture;
lol mental. I have heard people using the R1 carbs on the redtop vauxhall engines. Just got a problem with getting the head and the money to you stan but will try to call you tomorrow from work
