Fuel leak

Think i have a fuel leak under the car, seems damp on the underside of the car near the fuel tank area, is this common, recall seeing a few valvers on ebay in the past with slight fuel tank leaks, where is the leak likely to be in the tank or the pipe?

On the early ones the reserve tank pump is prone to leaking.

ah right. will this only leak if running on reserves? or will i need to fix it. car is a J plate. 1992?

Depends if its bust going into or coming out of the pump.
Yours is the right year tho.

Right, thanks... where should i be looking from to diagnose this? is it as simple as tightening jubilee clip? or case of new fuel lines/pump?

Normally the end breaks off the pump, will be at the front of the small reserve tank.
