Big thank you to The Jesus and Summeh for there help since the forum has been down.

I had given up hope of getting any compensation out of our hosts but the nicely worded emails ( jesus) and technical knowledge of summeh he have had a great result.

Due to the massive failure to transfer the site - we have been compensated with a full year of free hosting ! Thats a saving of £200 !!!

guys thank you so much....hopefully this has been a steep learning curve that will never be repeated.

Now we are hosted in the UK it should also mean a end to any downtime.

lol, no no Stew, just tried to reason with our provider and explain the damage and disruption caused from it. To be fair he's done the right thing and surpassed all expectations with this gesture of good will to the club, so it makes the 4 months of data loss all the more bearable now. We'd obviously be happier if none of this had happened, but we have the site back now which is the main thing.

Northy, don't be modest mate, it was a combined effort!

The new server is mint, im on 10mb connection and before it still seemed slow and i had to wait for it to load. Now its like lightning, my pages fly up on the screen
