MOT: cracked wing mirror = fail?

GF's 306 has a crack in the drivers side wing mirror, doesn't abstruct the view, but does anyone know if this is a fail or not for an MOT?

I think it matters on which side its on - drivers side has to be good condition, passenger side doesnt even have to have one on IIRC.

you only need one external mirror, regardless of which side it is

you need two mirrors. so if no internal mirror both external mirrors are needed

    lmao

didnt wanna cause an arguement !

Well the car has 3 mirrors, interior, drivers wing and passenger wing... the cracks on the drivers wing aren't so much as cracks, but more like where the glass has bent/snapped over, but the foil mirror stuff under the glass is intact and u can still see it where it bends.

if u get wot i mean?

So u lot think i'll be ok then? Rich u an mot tester? hehe u seemed quite confident with your answer

cracked plates and mirrors are not a fail.

Platesd will fail if the lettering is obstructed which most cracks or big stone chips tend to do.

Wing mirrors can only fail if a member of the pulblic could get caught on it.
