which gearbox

im in the middle of doing my gearbox and have found a good second hand one 80 miles from me, the add says its for a clio 1990-1996 1.2 or 1.4 5 speed petrol

this is all well and good but cant get hold of the bloke so i may jus drive down 2 his house??

i have just spoke to a breakers and he said he has a gearbox for a 1.4 petrol but the code doesnt match up??????????

surely a 1.4 clio gearbox will fit if its from 1990-1996?????

Any 1.2/1.4 box will fit mate as long as its from the same series.
