Thats the 3rd time its been on ebay since i first saw it one year ago.
1st it didnt sell....second he wouldnt sell to me for what i wanted to pay and it sold outside of ebay.
Looks like its had some work done by the looks of it.
And we need to email him for pictures of the rear suspension struts.
Bet its on coilovers all round.
Would make a great trackday car guys
yep seems like its had the turrets sorted for coilovers on the rear...but doesnt sound like its runnin em at the mo.
With the height of the "Turrets",they look like they have used Ford Escort,Turret Bilsteins ~~ easier to obtain.
We contemplated doing this, but when you get into working bump/rebound/spring rates etc etc And me not knowing too much about it ,just went with the Gp.A Bilsteins,GpA Torsion bars,I got from the Irish Tarmac car I bought.
I have modified a new rear beam,to take a Renault Sport supplied 22mm anti roll bar ~~ will try this as my next mod if required
I have been told, that the 172/182's have vertical shockers,If so this would be an easier mod,to graft a complete rear end on.
Lot of work for very little gain,If you have your Williams/Valver set up properly on the decent shocker kits that are available .A competitor friend of mine rallied in Europe some years ago with an Escort Cossie,~~~ could not live with the Clios on the twisty bits .Only pulling time on the straights, were the Cossies had more power
I keep thinking about turreting the rear of mine as because its so low the shockers are horizontal, therefore doing **** all.

Electric power steering too. Sounds like he's spent a lot of money on it
...And didn't change the colour :o
Zollo,
Electric power steering is a cheap option .Once you can decide which pump to use,I think We converted mine for about £50 ,which was for the pipes ~~ pump was a £5 .Getting someone to make the pipes is the dearest bit.
As for the turrets, any metal fabricator could make them ~~ or buy from a Rallysport dealer ~~ I am sure they are Mk11 Escort. It is all a case of sourcing and/or making .I am very lucky in that respect, any brackets /etc etc I have a man who does it.A point in question, ask around for a set of Front Calipers for A Hyundai WRC ~~ 4 pot titanium pistoned Alcon ~~ about £700 plus EACH ,Discs are about £200 each, carbo ~ ceramic pads ~~~ phone numbers .I paid £500 for the calipers and discs, with a box of used pads case of being in the righrt place at the right time .Then paid a guy £400 to make mounting brackets, disc bells etc .Under a "grand, and I got the best brakes ever.
I am not bragging, but I have the contacts
I can fabricate turret boxes and stuff like that myself. The fabrication work is easy the hardest bit is getting my arse off the setee and getting it done lol
