    headgasket

    we have mayo, drinking water & smoke from zorst what sort of money am I looking at for gasket and fitting?
    Also my fan never cuts in...do I need a new stat or what?

    Paying someone to do the gasket your looking at about £400-£600.
    Fan not working could be a number of things, need to check the wiring and see what sets it off.

    you really need to start having a go with the spanners yourself mate! you'd save a packet! your engine not right after the roll pal?

    Sometimes mayo and condinsation can form if you havent run the engine for a while.

    Run it and it may go. If it overheats then you're fooked

    I'd do it for £250 inc skim and bolts/gasket if u fancy a trip to lovely waaaaales!

    fan cud be all sorts mate, knackered stat/fan relay/fan itself/wiring/temp sensor! just hard wire it to a switch thats what i've got n its a pain in traffic but least u know its workin when u want it to!

    stan has the price u need mate for gasket if its all gone pete tong, thats cheap as chips!

    Tow it a couple of miles from home and call AA etc and get towed to stan's...sorted
