    petrol spitting out of a pipe!!!!

    WHY IS PETROL SPITTING OUT OF THIS PIPE ON COLD START??????

    can't see the pic but if cold start then the cold start injector will be on, this spits fuel into the bottom of plenum chamber.

    Stupid question but have you tried just tightening the clip? My Williams engine did it when it first fired, i just tightened the clip and its been fine since..

    picture loads for me now... looks like a crimp type clip? get a jubilee and tighten.

    if u need to pull the pipe off to fit a new clip (if it needs tightening and its not a jubilee) then make sure u depressurise the system first. else petrol will piss out everywhere. remove the fuel pump fuse, remove the HT king lead and crank the engine over for about 10 seconds.

    Mine used to do that around there but my fuel rail is different to yours. I just took the clip off and put a newer tighter one one and now its sorted. It used to smell of fuel when it was cold but never leaked when hot. Think it evaporates when hot.

    Mine did this.. except it blew straight off.. andfuel was spraying all over.. i i killed the engine and the sprayed fire extinguishing on the bay in a pnic
