Spraying info

Anyone know much about spraying ??

Im after buying a compressor and a spray gun, but not sure what you need to look at when buying these things

Im guessing higer the power and bigger the air tank the better,
but anyone know what to look for in a gun ???

suction or grav feed, what type of nozzle give the best finish ect

or websites with this kind of info

if you can afford one you should get a gravity fed devillbiss but there are different setups for different paints

i was looking at the GTI one, maybe a bit 2 much money for a home setup but will look at others in the range

I got a cheapie gun, and then switched to a gravity fed HVLP gun, much bertter for un ventelated spraying with a small compressor

Using just a 24lt compressor 1.5HP (iirc), and the HVLP gun i THINK is running 1-2 bar, and dont' have to stop too much unless spraying large panals, only thing is cellulose paint is so shite for a decent finish and for being hardwearing, but 2-pack has to be baked on, so it means hiring a paint dryer

just got myself a 2hp compressor with 8 cfm so need to find a gun that uses around that
