well theres a first time for evrything. this is the first prob iv heard of from him. surprised really, cos he used to do all the vags for jabbasport etc, so knows his shit on them.....and was off the vw lads the recommendations came from, as well as dta, and a few sax owners

    he still not sorted it??

seemed to b ok at fcs...or has he done it since?

    Alright guys,

    finally back on't computer.

Got up there for 9:30...didnt take too long...........well the mapping process did, wasnt done unti about 5pm!!!!!

Hung about, had lots of chats, learnt about his whole mapping process and the limitations of the stock ecu's resolution....aswell as flinching as he ripped apart the cars ecu and removed the eproms etc.

Took ages, had a nap outside.............got sunburnt.

All in all, not a bad job and i'm quite happy with it.

180bhp ATW's, nice linear drive....comes alive at 5000rpm but thats down to the mechanical spec.

And 39mpg on the way back at 80mph on cruise control! lol

Best part was deffo the accidental stop over at yoz's place which turned into a nice little pissup haha.

All in all, nice guy, nice service and nice work.....but he doesnt really like being there haha. Bit far for me to travel on a regular basis considering the time and fuel costs that would be passed onto cutomers....not to mention the booking times, but i'll probably pop back up for other projects.

What mods on the 182 m8....I have 182 mani, rsport, decat exhaust...would a remap smppth everything out or would it not be much better than the rsport?

never used an RSport so wouldnt know.

The car i took up was a 182 which blew its engine and had a replacement rebuilt one + inlet manifold mod, some mild cams and headwork.

so its gained roughly 40 bhp from headwork & cams ?

I have no idea what they roll there in std trim, first time i've been there.

But that is what it made on the rollers ATW's.
