which tyres

anyone run 30 profile tyres on the road. got a choice between 225/35 or 235/30,s. any thoughts on the above

presume this is for 18's ???

a 225/35/18 has a wall height of 78.75 and a 235/30/18 has a wall height of 70.50

for reference
a 195/45/15 has a wall height of 87.75
a 195/50/15 has a wall height of 97.50
a 185/55/15 has a wall height of 101.75

just so everyone knows, the middle number on tyres is NOT a measurement like the first and last numbers, it is a PERCENTAGE of the width, wall height

Overall tyre heights are - 195/50 (standard tyre) - 576mm
225/35 - 615mm
235/30 - 598mm

Therefore i'd go for the 235/30 in order to keep the gearing and speedo similar to standard.

thanks brun. did not figure it like that. not a lot of diff in wall height so they prob ride similar. and standard were 185 55 15 and 586mm. not a lot in it really just the 225 are 30 quid a tyre cheaper.
