Its what any sensible person should do. Do all the checks yourself, then when it goes in for an MOT there is no reason it should fail.
If thers something wrong, chances are you will know about it, and it means it aint gonna pass by the grace of god!

depends if the garage is bent.. best thingto do is go down in a set of overalls.. claimng your a mechanic lol
