    Small Update

Was a dry day yesterday so decided to colour code some bits and give it a good wash, wax, tyre clean and dressing.

So far ive coded the bump strips, scuttle panel and the engine mount cover. Still to do are the spoiler, door handles, boot lock and Mirror surrounds.

    Here are some pics

Should be lowered next week if my suspension ever arrives

Wet and dry to key the surface
Dried and primed with 2 coats
    2 Coats of Paint
    2 Coats of Laquer

Mine had never been treated with any colouring before the painting, if they have had back to black etc.. on them then the grease will make the paint flake off.

As it was a nice day i thought i might aswell get it lowered. So started and removed the front wheels...

    Old Standard Struts/Springs

Got the bolts undone, and undid the spring and removed the top mount with the spring compressors

New 35mm 16v Springs which should lower my car 55mm

All fitted back up tightly and in place, struts are Gaz Adjustable ones.

Same thing on the passenger side, the old stuff removed and new stuff on, its a good job the new stuff arrived as when i was compressing the spring the old one snapped

Also the passenger side was more of a pain, the strut sat a bit lower than the joint which meant a lot of swearing but eventually sorted.

Start the rear, thought i can get the shocks on and possibly get the torsion bar done.

Old stuff, with really tight bolts which took ages to remove but minutes to refit.

New stuff (pics blurry as it was dusk and i thought it would be ok but not enough light)

Adjustable screws, should be able to adjust the damping without even removing the road wheels

My efforts are rewarded for the current lowness at the front...

Looks slightly high as the rear is on Axle stands and it has to settle down...

More to follow 2morro as ive still got to remove the torsion bar and lower that. I have to remove the skirts on my RSi as they get in the way :(
