    Why the hell was that locked?! No worse than we get on here sometimes

    I'd have thought that, on average, a Valver and 106 GTi would be about the same pace? And a Willy slightly quicker?

    Valver would have the edge over a 106 GTI, certainly beyond 60, which is where it's equal to a Willy anyway.

    I think the problem comes from people only believing what they've seen.

    I'm quite confident that my sister's 106 would easily keep up with a Valver, at least to 100mph. But I'm happy to accept that people will have had different experiences, so will have different conclusions. It's basically a waste of time talking about what's quicker, cos everyone seems to think only they're right!

    Seriously though, I could see it to 60 but can't imagine it staying there beyond that. Would be happy to be proven wrong though.
